My hot take is that the whole dad thing was so incredibly unnecessary and forced I struggled to care this whole final chapter. I feel they were progressing well without the push. I really enjoyed chapters 1-13. This is a detective-themed romance, a mystery arc that ended with their relationship would have been a much more satisfying than a dude chasing a girl to the airport for the hundredth time. Overall, a fun ride but an ending that felt out of place, I would still recommend it as a quick read romcom.
