Its a bit unsettling to me how even if he just wants to live as a neet he didnt try to bring out any technology to help grow the kingdom hes in, which would in turn make his life (and that of his heirs) easier as well. Just some things here and there would make everything grow at a very fast pace, even with tools alone.
