Personally, I think he's plenty chad enough as it is.

Ah, he'd probably also have some of Nobunaga's blood too, and unmatched skills with a katana that he's unable to use until he finds Muramasa and bathes it in the the blood of 20 virgins.

Well, I don't know about future raws as I can only read the translations myself, but so far:

I'd say Yes for both questions. He hasn't married a concubine yet (as far as translations go), but there are direct and certain talks about it. Pretty much set in stone unless something happens. But it's not happening soon, cause it's directly linked to some political agreements which are still in the works.

Zenjiro didn't really like the whole situation, but he's gradually accepting it.

And it's definitely far from harem tropes, since polygamy here comes from political interest, and not a bunch of girls romantically falling for MC.

I'm not sure how much spoilers you want, so I'll just stop here without details.

That summarization of edgy isekai harem hero trope is spot on.

This MC is pretty good in fresh way. Not too much influenced by emotion, think rationally without abandoning humane aspect (unlike most edgy isekai do), take advice from said wife who is far more versed in political maneuver and adapt to said advice.

He is a responsible adult, one who knows that his life is not for his own anymore, as a husband and dad, he also has his wife and kid to care and since both of those are royal, he need to take extra care not to act stupid, which many of readers seems to disagree as they are not used to a main male character who communicate to his companion (here referring to the wife) as equal rather than submit or being superior (usually portrayed as smarter/powerful and so on compared to other character beside himself).

The fan translation I read went far enough that he married Freia and Aura had approved that he should have a child with her. Translation did not reach further though.

@Mustang_00 Yeah, Ines looks young here. I believe she is at least 45 in the novels. She was around when Aura was a baby, and she was one of the maids that took care of Aura's brother who was the previous King as well.

Im glad that Aura is aware that Zen outright hates having concubines, and the she knows shes using the husband that adores her like a political tool, it makes their interaction in private a lot more tense when she doesnt know how far she can push him before he snaps.

@saudagarbeta @mustang_00 a short story included in one of the manga volumes says Ines was actually Carlos' lover and and Aura considers her as her unofficial aunt (Carlos didn't marry because he was sterile and couldn't marry Ines due to class differences).

Wait, the dragon that they hunt have a bones right? Being that many, the dragon bones will be basically worthless or at least not valuable. But the northern Princess carry them as a cargo like its some sort of precious item, am I missing something here?
