I'm so proud of Rokudou. He is one of those rare shonen heroes that not only stopped being a whiny loser, but learned from his mistakes and put actual effort into getting stronger and learning karate.
And even with this newfound strength he isn't an unbeatable powerhouse, he still struggles while following his ideals.

Rokudou is a boss.

This is by FAR the best harem mc, he wasn't op and didn't get op. He brought the figth to a stalemate.
It also helps that this manga doesn't have fan service.

At this point the thing that makes Rokudou rare is the fact it took him over 100 chapters to actually beat someone in an actual fight.
And even now he admits the only reason he beat kung fu boy was 2 other people tiring him out, and now at best he just opened up Yangen for someone else to take down.
Most other battle manga Rokudou would have mastered fighting and solo'd the boss by the first arc, or never learned to fight and solely relied on the battle harem.

Side note I really appreciated is the fact Colonel and Kachou didn't immediately get sidelined. They haven't magically gained fighting skills, but they try their damndest for Rokudou.
