Route End - Vol. 8 Ch. 53 - Who's The Killer?

I forget how it all worked with the identical brothers. Was the name "Tachibana" unique to the MC's (supposedly dead) boss, or one they all shared?

@seekermoc If I remember correctly "Tachibana" that was a stolen identity, so not even the dead boss would really have that name.

Yeah, Tachibana is also not his real name. I think only the MC's boss uses it though.

The triplets/quadruplets theory was because that was the only scientific explanation of the existence of three corpses with the same DNA. But as established later, even identical siblings cannot share the same finger prints/toe prints/ear prints. Yet the later two corpses and the current living guy all have the same such traits, they cannot just be brothers, but some super natural phenomenon. Seems like he pretty much respawns looking thirties whenever he was killed.

The fact that he creepily knows information/events normal people, and that he calms his followers also suggest that he can do more than just respawning.

I would have loved for this to be a pure scientific mystery series, but it seems the guy will be one supernatural element, after all. He has been a fairly good one though, so all good.

Is that 'God'?

The fact that he's wearing gloves is ominous. Leaving no fingerprints there, are we?

I bet he’s less a god and more of a metaphorical manifestation of something — guilt, perhaps.

@keoss

Yeah, with so few chapters left, it's hard to see how this story could be wrapped-up without a deus, somewhat ex machina.

@nodamnbrakes No but he can't be a metaphorical manifestation because other people have seen him and interacted with him, and he has been leaving corpses around!

They are either a bunch of clones or we just become a fantasy thriller and gods walk among them.
