Ooookay, wtf? Deathnote, Tokyo Ghoul? Court ordered bans
Roskomnadzor censorship agency apparently may enforce the court decisions as general bans?

Yay, more dumb dumb, morons now Russian flavored.

Me 6 months ago: First Goblin Slayer is banned, next will be DBZ and Naruto.
Censorship cucks: Nah, bruh. Such a slippery slope. Ain't gonna happen.

Russian lawmakers today: Death Note is too violent. Ban Naruto next.
Censorship cucks: I miss the part where that's my problem.

Russia: Violent anime are bad!
Also Russia: Let's invade Crimea just for the lulz!

So real life violence is cool, but 2D is bad.

Death Note - a story about killing off criminals with magic.
Inuyashiki - alien cyborgs fight for justice.
Tokyo Ghoul - immortal monsters feast on meat and blood of normal people.

Yeah, I wonder why they would want these specific anime gone. 🤔

I believe when all the violent and graphic cartoons are gone, our children will finally be safe. After all, they're was no murder, rape, and war before television was invented.

Death Note
A regular Joe starts a purge to save humanity. He goes after criminals and politicians, all while simultaneously uniting the world in their hunt for him.
Hmmmm, something something anti-human rights. A hit dog will holler.

Tokyo Ghoul
People living on the fringes of society find ways at gaining acceptance and assimilation while fighting off persecution.
Russia and gays name a more classic combo.
Or they banned the anime because of its Q U A L I T Y.

Inuyashiki
Superhero story about two opposing moralities
Methinks Russia sees a comparison in themselves with Hiro...

Naruto
Ninja series about two gay men's struggle to catch the other's attention
I sleep.

Interspecies Reviewers
The Coomer Monologues
Real shit.

I thought in Russia, anime is supposed to ban the court, not the opposite... So disappointing...

The title didn't mention what gave an impulse to all this bullshit. Some retarded zoomer become an hero in Death Note style. And it's not for the first time, lol.

> Russian weebs did not take this act of oppression lightly

Nah. These are paid retards protests for another jailed retard no one actually cares in Russia.

not as bad as it could be seen, but actually that was just a hilarious clusterfuck. the whole trial session was streamed on youtube and the court was literally watching those titles on a pirate anime streaming site and arguing about their content, in the end bans were only applied to just 2 pirate streaming services (irc because they didnt put r+18 tag or something like that, probably untrueno one really cares), so you still can watch that stuff somewhere else just as easily as before. and the actual list of bans consists of 49 items and 5 lawsuits now, not all trials are complited yet, but anime are probably already deleted on those specified sites

(and i really wasnt interested in this topic just before this thread, what am i doing exactly?)
