RYOKO

Oh man, the drawing here is fucking amazing. This guy knows what a battle manga is about.
Edit: It still is one of the best drawings I'seen in a comic for my taste. Too shonen in its story, to my liking, regretfully. In ideas, still too childish. But it is amazing nonetheless and I'm ready to eat some dicks so I can continue reading this.
Edit2: Now I have to inform that being on hiatus since beggining of 2017, and having the account in Twitter of Ryoko no updates since March of the same year, well, you can give up on this comic if you want. By the little I've read, it doesn't seem to have sold that well. No eating of dicks I can do to solve that, better grab this joyous thing physically before it's too late.

YEssss it is back. My very favorite post-apocalyptic surrealist action piece!

(Yeah, I'm a month late to the party. I'm about a month behind in updates right now and diligently working through them, don't judge :'p)

I certainly wouldn't jump into "tragedy" tag. I would define tragedy as an unchangeable chain of events that the main characters feel regrettable and by which they are left with scars... I'm pretty sure Ryoko is going to rescue them all, so no tragedy tag for now. I don't see the author risking this all "I'll become better and charge the world in my shoulders" shonen shenanigance with a fatal blow to the main characters either.

I loved this manga until they started gradually playing up that there might be a romantic relationship, and it just felt so out of place with the whole thing that I couldn't keep reading.

Eh, I feel you, but I don't think the romantic aspect of it has really firmly been embedded into it, so it doesn't stick out quite as much for me. Would have been better if Zen was a girl anyhow. I still enjoy the fuck out of this.
