I hope the author doesn't make light of her love for Kallum and his country by making her too scared to face her past. She doesnt seem afraid to me. She angry. Going as a hostage as a now wife candidate changes her status doesn't it? She shouldnt be treated like a slave however that Anatolia king wants now unless he is begging for eventual retaliation... right?
