They could qsend an anonymous e-mail to the police from an internet café, maybe pretending to be a concerned classmate, saying that the guy in the video is her teacher... Or they could just leave the situation as is, since he is actually diverting the attention of the police towards someone that doesn't resemble the actual kidnapper in any way.
