Sachiiro no One Room

I'm liking this more and more. I was worried that it started with a hint of a "savior complex fetish" with Mister's everyday kindness saving a tragic girl ("look how the wonderfully kind gentleman can save a damsel in distress").

But it showed quickly that it's a lot more than that: Mister himself is broken to the core, and the revelation that his kindness was...not an act, quite, but a serious, conscious effort on his part to play the role, helps round out his character. That Sachi's playing at tranquil happiness is revealed to be an act on her part is also crucial to the development, especially since she finally seems to have rebuilt enough of herself to be on a path to healing -- currently at the first, most dangerous step, with the PTSD she basically repressed until now coming at her like a tsunami.

everyone here keeps commenting that the girl has Stockholm syndrome.....i could not disagree more if anything they both the captive and the kidnapper have a dangerous co-dependency.
i like this story is is surprisingly deep i guess. with the charterers actions and thoughts vastly different on multiple levels the fliping of the scene from one panel to the next is jarring and when the charter make a mental change it really sticks out. a great read and different than i'm use to much like high score girl is about a girl who never talks different can be great

Also, the detective is getting his own spin-off featuring his back story in Fall 2019

Jesus christ is this manga gonna suddenly end now, i mean it had the feeling like it was getting close but damn.

Yes finally fucking kill yourselves, Haruki dropped the ball on this a long time ago and he just stopped giving a shit it seems. It started real strong and it's been downhill since nii-san got her teacher arrested, what a shame, because the art is great and remains great.

Part of me wants to Google translate the next chapter (if its out) to see what happens. I feel like detective will save the day because that's just the typical cliche that always happens. Maybe it'll be different this time.

We've got up to CH35 on our site, just waiting around to do v2 for SFX and honorific changes before we upload the rest here :)

Not sure if anyone knew, but we were doing speed/honorific + SFX versions for certain series recently to catch up so hence the sudden lack of translated SFX and Mister -> Onii-san. I was originally planning to wait until we did get around to making a v2, but I'll just come back at some point in the future to make everything consistent again.

Tag me if there's any confusion~
