@sleepyfoxscanlations I have to wear mine, otherwise I don't see jack shit, but I find them very annoying. What also annoys me is the fact that people who wear fake glasses doesn't have to pay hundreds dollars for the prescription lenses... Or suffer through weeks of motion sickness when I change to higher prescription

It's a bit like people using wheelchairs or mobility scooters because they are lazy

@Beregorn I avoided wearing mine daily until I started driving, at which point I did so for safety reasons (for everyone else on the road especially...). Anyway, what I mean to say is that I empathize with finding glasses to be somewhat annoying. And indeed, it's just a little bit like people using mobility scooters out of laziness, though I don't think manual wheelchairs are particularly labor-saving if no one is pushing you xD. I don't want to criticize people too much though, since I can see how they would be considered a fashion accessory even by those who don't need to use them. I think they may actually be seen primarily through that fashion accessory lens (wordplay!) in Japan, despite the very high rate of myopia, with many people using contact lenses if they can (just to contextualize the chapter a bit). I can't handle contact lenses very well myself.

I've written too much as usual, but thanks for sharing the opinion of another fellow glasses-wielder.

When people wear glasses just for fashion, it does kinda feel bad cause you know they are wearing it cause they can rock it, and it's not out of necessity XD They also didn't have to go through any negative experience with glasses, like with kids thinking you're blind all the time or getting hit with a basketball while wearing glasses LOL

@simplicity Ouch! Fortunately I've never had the experience of being smacked in the face with glasses on, but it sounds painful. And really, people often seem to assume everyone with glasses is nearly blind with them off. I mean of course that's the case for many people, but it's not for many others.

Surprised you can get name-calling in the States for wearing glasses. Where I live, way more than half (students especially, since kids usually do not wear contacts) wear glasses so that would pretty much never happen!

I keep cracking my head around since what she says and how she reacts are different from what im used too. But if u take all she says seriously it seems like hes the one being a too slow while shes ready for it for a while. Most of the time her reactions are so normal and far from the standard flustered overly-conscious teen in love behavior that i told myself she wasnt that much into it.
