I hate thse types of cliches: "Female MC coughs > Male MC rushes her to hospital like her arm was cut out or something > Female MC brushes > MCs become more in love" I want to puke.

When I was there and got fever they just gave me an IV too. I got this treatment for days and it didn't help at all.
Then I just took some aspirine and I immediately felt better.
