Also loved the part with the Priest telling Will off for not taking payment, not because he's trying to be corrupt but because he knows people will abuse that trust and expect the same treatment from others too. Every time he shows up he basically takes the typical corrupt Priest trope and shows he's a good person.

It was brought up ONCE. Just because a show has this one cooking scene, that doesn’t mean it makes the whole thing a cooking show. They could easily find some other reason for Will’s regret.

Did you read the LN? If this point will become relevant again in the future, I’d have no complaints. If it won’t, I’ll stick to my opinion to just omit the whole isekai backstory.

@confetti I don't know the argument you guys were having before, but while it wasn't so important that he was isekai'd, what is important is what his life was like before being isekai'd. It's one of his main motivations, he doesn't want to be the useless person who was merely just alive without living, and allowing everything to just pass by as he just stayed cooped up. Silent and unmoving. He wanted to be someone who actually can act and make a difference, and to not stay silent or complacent. So while we can ignore him being isekai'd, we can't ignore his life before that. And also, him being isekai'd to an extent does play a role in this story, he is ignorant and unaware of all the norms and information in this world. The only thing he knows are the things that were taught to him by his adopted family. So to say that the fact he was isekai'd is something we can just completely ignore is something 'd say wouldn't exactly be right.
