To the bitter end of this chapter, he insist on using her actual name despite he got told not to, even been told how disastrous it could be if she ended up hearing it..
He's simply an idiot, quite a major one at that. (No wonder he never grasp any of the more subtle things, he struggles with understanding even the most obvious and straightforward things.)

It's kind of a miracle that he managed to stay alive with that density. (Am used to dense mc's, but this one is definitely a step above most when it comes to density.)
