I would like to point out that she's not a 'sister in law', she is his stepsister. I know in Japanese 'sister in law' means many things, but in English, when you get a new sister from your dad or mom marrying someone else's dad or mom, it's called stepsister. In English, sister in law means a new sister you get when you marry someone.
