1. Get into trouble since the guys family has big influence in the village cause they control the currency and the Mc cant prove that they are wrong about leaves being hard to grow
2. Beating him up would only cause temporary damage
3. Their whole family business is taking advantage of the village and the misconception of leaves being hard to grow
4. It's more satisfying if the family were to all turn on the boy and get angry at him

@lazerus56 the family of the shitty brat is controlling the market by doing a monopoly for generations based on lack of knowledge of the people, what the MC is going is breaking the monopoly which would benefit the village as a hole since the economy is centralized on those leaves while theres an alternate currency that would be more long lasting and with better stability (ore), you know that gold used to be the currency for many civilizations for a reason.
