I hope this guy, who is still a complete arsehole mind you, doesn't become romantically involved with the MC.

He gets away with way too much, he behaves still like a child whose only reason why he remains in his position is because he is likely a genius (at what he is good at).

Either way, he hasn't improved his personality's blatant flaws since he was a kid, and acts as if he should get away with it.

The only reason why he remains in that position is because the kingdom dearly needs someone with his talent set. Thus having to ignore his awful personality quirks.

Yaoi genre became shounen ai, if mc accepted to became female and acted like one then it's not shounen ai anymore.
100% sure that mc and the gay guy will be in a romance stage later if there's so much background story in this early chaps.
