Ok, so each race apparently represents their element tie-in.
Water, Earth, Air, Fire.

The Water People apparently live in stone and clay that were cooked with fire.
The Fire People live in wooden shacks grown in earth and water.
The Earth People & Air People abandoned the area to avoid conflict, but there is VERY little terraforming that boasts they had any territory to begin with?

I don't get this thing at all.
