I was damn cackling when he first teleported out, only to be right on the edge of the hole. I seriously thought he was going to be forced through that first door into act 2 by falling back in the hole.
@Bluedudu does he look like the monopoly man to you? Like the matron said, even if he killed all the soldiers, the government that holds the debt still exists with more soldiers to send and the deadline is still the next day. There are only three things he could do as was: try to singlehandedly bring down Raydonia, select a few elves to escape with using his return beads, or offer his condolences and leave.

Him not saving the elves is like a breath of fresh air. Honestly, him giving away potions had me expecting him to be a goody-two-shoes white knight and that he'd give his life away for strangers, glad that wasn't the case, it's plain stupid to fight a losing battle in that kinda world.

probably not because they owe gold coins and with no knowledge or market value of potions being present they are at the same time highly value able and worth nothing at all
so the kingdom could just price them however they like it "1elixir=1 gold"
he would need a trustworthy third connection to sell them so he could pay the kingdom the coins but being in this "alice in wonderland" world for all of a 1day and having only 1 more before the deadline thats asking for the impossible

@Roadrunner9000 the seller makes its price, not the kindgom. You make an offer, and whoever wants to buy has to pay that amount. If they cant afford, tough luck, next person on the line please.
Because of the rarity of those the kingdom would most likely pay w/e he asks for them. Not that it matters in this case tho.

well your right its not realy important in this case but tbh your version would suck
unless the author emergency drops you one very convenient honest rich person that has a convenient use for your elixir by the time you find him/her and seal the deal the village will be enslaved and even storming the citadel wont have a 100% chance to rescue all of them with 0% chance of them being unharmed...
and instead of the kingdom being in breach of contract it would be the mc.
call me old fashioned but i like the authors version better because it keeps the mc a pure hero and doesnt scar the elves
oh yeah the sellers total freedom of choice exists only in theory, in praxis the seller has a need to sell to fulfill his obligations or he wouldnt actively sell in the first place but look for the right buy orders (which the mc cant because his potions are unknown so there are few if any buy request and he has a 1 day deadline)

@Roadrunner9000 thats the thing: its rare, nobody else supplies it, the kingdom would pay the price he asks for. If they say 'no, their value is 1G' like your version he could just say 'well, then Im not selling' and they couldnt do anything, and the kingdom who has interest on said product would be left with nothing. Thats basic market, supply and demand, the way things are done everywhere (even on this manga, remember different potions have different values and he spent a lot of money on them).
Traveler merchants have no need to supply anymore than what they have on them as well, you dont need to make a full market out of a single trade. "Here I have this, if you want it costs X", the end. You make it sound like hes gotta work as if he was a big company with a set contracted supply, which makes no sense.
