I'm not sure what the author wants to do with the guy. First he looked like an arrogant noble, but then gave a reasonable explanation for his anger. Then he pulled a Hercule and thinks MC is using tricks and wants to confront him head on and expose him, but then he decides to try to hold the girls hostage.
