@Doomer @sshazm and @XL I think @Suzukino touched on the point here, magic is making whatever you want happen, and Humans have the strongest magic, so when the MC found himself in another world and decided "Idon't want to think about it" it shut his brain off.

Edit: on the plus side, we know that the in universe logic is solid, when MC of the story can lobotomize himself, just so he won't lust after the Elf that's salivating over his artifacts.
