Saikyou no Shuzoku ga Ningen Datta Ken - Vol. 5 Ch. 37

well..... shes not lying. he did blow up a moon on accident and overpower a strong martial artist.

Yeah she's not wrong. I hope the MC grows up out of the nervous beta he is right now, but who am I kidding this is a Japanese manga

@silverden
Sure, with raw power. But technique and form are completely absent from his knowledge. Most martial artists would see the gaps, so him being an expert isn't a very good lie. A better response would be that he is strong enough to brute force things as good as most martial arts would be. And that his magic is strong, using the sage again as a cover-up. Then again, I dont think many would even care about the details behind his power once they saw it, given that any semi-believable vague response would work.

People trying to hide something tend to overlook the fact that most people are just curious. Just give a response which is vague but believable, or points towards something/someone who cant be easily checked. Example, a dead person. Mention a dead person who was "close" to you, and people immediately stop digging deeper into it out of respect. If they ask you eventually about said dead guy, just say they were very strict, and kept their past to themselves. All you know is that they were very strong. How did they die? Old age is a good one, but illness/injury can also work.

well rip Eastern Forest 🤣
also i can imagine next chapter he accedently destroys the forest and then heal the trees so much it be comes a forest full of worldtrees/ large indestructable trees😂

Thanks for the chapter

Imho, the long haired dude is the first likable character. He was quite rough in the way he expressed it, but: he did not believe mc and ria immediately, he said something kinda profound (the one with who dies on the battlefield first) and overall seems to have some sort of common sense.

@Kettern

He's also extremely arrogant and judges people based on his own measurement. He's one of those guys you find in xianxia novels who goes, "You look weak, so you can't possibly be stronger than me, which means I'm going to look down on you." as if they were the highest limit that could only be surpassed by legendary existences which make them want to worship.

@Kayriel

playing devils advocate here....
while he could just be blowing his own horn, he might legit have the experience to measure a normal person's potential with a glance being a B rank adventurer.
the MC never fought a monster in his life and is naive as heck.
if it wasn't for his race being demigods he would be seen as weak.
in fact for a human im sure he actually is.

but again that's all based on what he says is true.... if not well..... then that's that.
