I agree. While it isn't that bad on its own, it isnt good for the use in a manga. The seemingly pointless random lines on everyone's faces (which cause a lot of distortion), the disproportionate facial features (way bigger eyes and mouth than even for anime/manga standards, or having a massive chin with a tiny face), and all of the prospective angles are not aligned correctly unless they are directly facing forward.
Also, each face looks like it wanted to be drawn either rounded or angulared, but then they rounded off most of the forehead and/or jaw but angle the chin, and add sharp features like defined cheekbones and detailed noses. Half of the side shots add almost a second angle just for the chin too.
If I had to guess, I would say the artist began drawing this making up their own style, and then only drawing certain features they liked from possibly other artists, and mashed them together. They have a lot of work invested, but it not quality work in this instance. I give them credit though. Everything by itself is great, especially the designs of the magic, but everything seems to come feom a different art style and it isn't meant to be all mixed together like this. That being said, it definitely isnt the worst I have ever seen, and I think it can be easily improved upon. The artist has the ability, but they just need to reference a bit of similar charqcter designs to solidify their own style. That, or maybe if an assistant or someone with experience touched it up just a bit afterwards, then this could actually work.

That winking catgirl animation at the end is several times better than the entire chapter that comes before it. It may have been the only thing worth reading this chapter for.
