Man, that one who keeps worrying about WhAt wIlL tHeY ThINk is just the worst. The kids are inconsiderate and so childish. They're so awful, I can see why she left.
That being said - from the point of a story, its really, really good. I love the idea of a much older MC, the fact she doesnt have support or structure, that she still cares so much about her cat and her family and even just the people who help her. A pretty unique perspective, not gonna lie.

Also the cat is the sweetest saddest thing in the world, i love him so much

I went through those 8 chapters all too fast.

I was depressed to see people whining about the romance tag in the comments, (seriously, do people think *they're* never gonna get old? Or do they think you reach a certain age and just instantly lose interest?? Humans are humans, regardless of age.) but comments on the most recent chapter were all supportive! It was really nice.
