If the translator is reading this:
"My suit isn't dry" should be "My dry suit isn't here"
It's a "dry suit", designed to keep the body dry while diving, and protect it from the cold. I'm guessing he was going to use it to escape by swimming.
Fun fact: there's also the so-called "wet suit", which is similar to a dry suit, but doesn't cover the feet, hands, or head. Water can easily get in, hence it's "wet". It also protects from cold water, though not as well as a dry suit.

@Samhill Three of the characters on that cover page are from Yamada Yoshinobu's previous work: Rion, Rei, and Isurugi Miina. The Isurugi Miina in this manga seems completely unrelated to the one in Eden no Ori, and there's a lot of differences between the two aside from looks and personality. Eden no Ori is imo an interesting read riddled with flaws, so it's up to you whether you want to brave that or not.
