Tensions will build between her and her husband over the fact she doesn't want children and wants to live her own life. They'll boil over when he finds the birth control. The two of them will get into a huge fight and she'll leave. Then she'll have a fling with the other guy. She'll realize it's not going to work out with him either, but thank him for comforting her and leave. Then we'll get an open ended anticlimax where she's sad, but in a better mindset with the possibility of a brighter future. I'll come back when this is over and see how much I got wrong.
