Although... I think it's a Manhwa, unsure. It was about this dude who entered a VRMMO, and basically befriends NPCs, using unique ways other players thought stupid to play. It may be a harem? I think he used archery and crafting abilities or something. Sorry, I can't say too much, the things I remember are likely spoilers.

The devs were making the game more and more realistic, basically making the NPC's real.
There's an NPC that falls in love with him, and it turns out she was the queen of the fairies or something like that. When the fairy kingdom update came, the MC got special treatment, able to enter anywhere in the kingdom, even places other players could not go. Eventually, all players get kicked out of the kingdom because they cut down all the forests following the MCs example.
