I think of the mask as a way to fit in with the horn twins. His mask has two horns and they have a left and right horn to complement them. Otherwise I like the first mask much better.

I’m surprised others are surprised by this. He’s killed innocents before. Last block of the tutorial. The monster rush. Lizardman cave. He’s made it clear time and again his only goal is vengeance. (Despite bis brother’s actual wishes, funnily enough)

I do hope the story gets better, but this is by no means a change of pace for him.
