Even going further into character psyche, the mother started this because she's thirsty because apparently her husband doesn't have sex with her. Further confused because the husband is very unfit, and based on small details from commenters + story. He seems to be having sex with escorts or co-workers.

"Sinister scheming rapist", really? He just can't tell right from wrong (particularly thanks to the way his sister and mom "educated" him). Keep in mind that author has definitely overstated characters' ages by some 8 years, so, basically, the guy has just hit puberty and learned that sex is not a thing bad kids do, but something that feels good, and makes girls feel good.
