I dont understand how she can just ask stuff without embarrassed. I couldn't ask someone to help a boy see me in a different light . Am I just self conscious?

@OrangePeelEater: I agree—or rather, more that just embarrassed, I'd feel both uncomfortable in the potentially awkward position I'd be putting the person I'd be asking in, and troubled by the implicit violations of trust inherent in covertly converting a love interest's friend to be my spokesperson... Having said that, I have no idea how I would react if I genuinely thought it was a life-and-death matter for the parties involved. XD Where one might ask, "isn't that a little bit desperate," for her the answer could reasonably be, "well, yes," and I think I'd sort of taken it in that vein.
