Ah that makes more sense for the rejections. I just thought that he didnt want her to suffer. For some reason I never thought that it would be because he knew she didn’t love him. Which makes sense since she asked to marry him nesrly right off the bat.
 
So glad to see it back. This chapter was really good, I lost sense of time.
I was hoping that she would drop a slight teaser bomb about her real reason to marry him. That aside, she does like him a lot.
