@All that said he isn't bad: That trash tried to kill him and you're saying he is not bad? He is pure trash, that made it hard for him to use the adventurers guild and send people after him where is he not bad? Just because he is stupid? Stupidy + noble (btw baron is low rank noble) = could easily cause the death of many, showing mercy and saving this kind of trash is the same as being a accomplice in the misfortune and death of many innocent common people.
Even the butler of his would kill a innocent little girl that they endangered without a second thought if he could protect his dumb trash master.
They even ignored the dissent of the guard, that they shouldn't enter the dungeon with that little girl.
Being stupid selfish and worthless doesn't mean you can't do bad or be evil.
Him being not aware is just one more reason to let him die.
