Fact check no.℮178: Atsushi is actually following the urban legend version of a set of English sayings under the heading of "Youth is wasted on the young." It actually was first recorded by an appearance in a newspaper and was misattributed to George Bernard Shaw. The adage was subsequently misattributed to many other illustrious figures; Ed Sullivan tried several times, resulting in "'It is a pity that youth is wasted on the very young,' remarked Montaigne or some other French wit." For what ever the reason, Atsushi has singled out one of Sullivan's vaguer failed attempts to tack down the progenitor (most likely, it's a saying and there isn't one). Since there are many variants, Atsushi got his facts wrong to the point of get the opposite sort of meaning. (Knowing this much makes it a bit funnier, no?)
