Originally translator and editor anons (plus some back and forth across the thread by others chiming in) believed Parry to be a misreading/misunderstanding on their part, as the kanji used was less than clear on the subject.

However, that Parry on Suzu's phone is written exactly as you see it raw, which kinda sets the answer into stone.

I bet the Polly/Parry is pronounced the same in Japanese, like "Paris" in French, with "Parry" in the raws being just a misspelling by the author; since Polly is a girls' name, and Parry a boys' names.
