@Kayriel To be fair she did mention that they consider humans enemies too and this appears to be a hidden village so if they don't realize he could annihilate them all single handedly the easiest solution in their eyes is to just kill them so they can't leak the location of their village to a human country, which guessing based on cliche manga fantasy world knowledge would lead to raping and pillaging of the village followed by slavery of any and all survivors. Or they're just speciests (whispers) "Damn Knife-Ears"..........
