Lol, I guess she determined she would NOT be able to go all out in a fight with Alsha without strengthening him by quite a bit. What better way to get people to believe in him than anouncing your precense, showing them him, and then promptly start a war with them all?

Demon lord needs to defeat Alsha otherwise this unreasonable cicle will never end. Now, now. That doesn't necessarily mean she needs to kill him, although that's probably what is expected to happen. Killing him wouldn't solve the problem though since her whole purpose in doing all this is so she won't need to kill him.

I can see two things happening:
(1) They can go kill each other, or
(2) maybe they can say "fuck it", run away and elope without anyone knowing.

Not sure but I think it was mentioned in the previous chapters that the hero and demon lord disappeared without a trace.
I bet my ass they did the latter.

Actually, maybe she is strengthening him so he can help her subjugate God. There might be a chance both of them can meet him after all, or that only the hero is able to(she doesn't seem to fully trust the fairy elder)

Well, if she doesn't put on a big show, then the people wouldn't accept her 'defeat' at the hands of the hero, who then 'died'. As long as everybody believes that the endgame played out as expected, nobody will bother looking for her and the hero when they disappear together (maybe).
