@NovaXII I've been rereading the whole thing again and really you could feel that there was something wrong with her
>Didn't mind her child being with a total stranger
>Never tried to phone her kid at all
>Told Seki that he's cute and "stay for the night"
>Approve her child having a boyfriend twice her size and maybe way older than her
>And most of all Seki hating her
Nevermind, she did come back. Now I see that it was no mistranslation that the mother thought Seki was Azuma's boyfriend and approved of him, she really is as horrible as she seemed.
Wow what a crazy twist on the epilogue. And yet it feels so right. Utou and saeki's relationship just didn't work out, and Azuma's mom unsurprisingly was not a great mother considering what she put her daughter through. But Azuma's becoming an adult now and has grown and found happiness for herself. I couldn't have asked for a better ending.
This was a roller coaster and I gotta admit I think I see it as one of my favorites of all time now. Wonderful work and thanks to the author and the translators.
