I agree with @Drifter, I expected the obvious villain to be obvious demon.
The idea that someone is poisoning high-class prostitutes for, what we can only assume is to get his rocks off on some God Power trip, seems both rather mundane and even slightly farfetch'd in a fantasy setting. Hopefully they reveal it as a precursor to some grandiose scheme of some-- I dunno, evil prince or something.

This chapter is good. Was someone trying to sabotage the brothel? Or someone just trying to make them addicted to illegal drugs?

Sounds like rather than make them addicted, he was testing out effects and dosages for some kind of new product (of unknown specifications for now), since generally speaking there's going to be less investigation if it's "just a dead hooker". Perhaps for later sale as a narcotic, perhaps to find its LD50 as a new poison
