No way, the one shot this is based on is one of my favorite reads! Big fan of the simple design of the monsters in it. This definitely went in a different direction from the one shot though. Interested to see where this one goes, but so far the one shot is better (in my opinion, obviously).

Differences with the OS: The mom's death at the start. Who are the the first protagonists, Haruka wasn't the childhood friend of Yokino in the OS, it was Youko herself. In fact, Haruka didn't exist in the first place. Also in the OS it was Yokino who reassure Youko at the start. So in conlusion, poor Haruka is a just a sacrificial lamb.

I was never been a fan of Oogino Jun work considering most of it tend to be abrupt(randomly pull strings or asspulling), sometimes lifeless (look at the the background) and lack of depth (character background or essence in story).

Author story also lean towards Sci-fi more than anything with a Yuri spice.

I hope same thing won't happen to this Manga.
