Sen no Sukiru o Motsu Otoko - Vol. 2 Ch. 14

Poor guy, I feel like this chapter would've been better if the ex-wife had more of an appearance/presence in the story.

And is this the first time we've seen her face? Because I don't recall seeing her before.

Nice, it happened. I just hope this won't turn into some shitty drama where the new guy dumps that ex-wife and she then tries to get back together with the mc.

"I will make him jealous and we will be "ok" together again" I think this is what the ex-wife must have thought, for how he reacted, it didn't go well...

That feels bad for him, but in the end, it's for the best since he gets to move on with his life instead of being stuck in an unfulfilling marriage.

@Karmichel I'd don't think she would bring divorce papers if she wasn't serious nor would she take it so calmly if her games would lead to legal and absolute consequences .

his wife had weird reactions and was unnecessary (with 2 pages? screen time)

@hades3x, she wasn't expecting his reaction, for sure... She probably thought he would "try more", you know? His action was pretty much "ok, bye..."

@Karmichel I'd say she was a certainly surprised that he was so ready to call it quits too, but I have to agree with Hades that she wouldn't have had divorce papers onhand if she was fishing for some other kind of reaction in particular. I suppose it doesn't really matter from now on though, since the romance in the series has now developed from awkward "I can't because I'm/he's already married" to a more usual awkward. The ex-wife might not even appear ever again, unless the author feels like making her crawl back to him with regrets after he's already moved on.

Well, that's that for the marriage plot I guess? I was kinda expecting more

the marriage stuff was pointless but I think the author wants to take it in the direction of when MC makes a shit ton of money and show off to the ex-wife? fuck if i know, pretty anticlimactic. But then again, most of this series has a lot of cliche pointless stuff.

Knew this nuke was coming eventually.
The blast was over and done with as soon as the wife was even mentioned.
Grieving? No.
More like free from the shackles of un-reciprocated love... in the form of depression.
The recoil will eventually end as all predicted cliches are.
Though, I suspect it's going to be a few chapters to get it over with.

TL;DR Chop-chop, get over it.
