Kinda sad that "the captain that was revered, until that blondie took him out" -- was actually revealed to be an incompetent hot-head.
Given the mood of the manga, I actually expected him to be fully competent as a captain, and a soldier. It's just that he's not as powerful or skilled as the main characters, which is fair.
I wanted to see the captain make good use of the little that he has, given the forces he was given, and even if he didn't come out successful -- at least he wouldn't be a fool.

Making him a fool, instead, just...Doesn't really make me feel like it adds anything. We already know the MC is OP. There's nothing to prove there.
Eh.

Lol no, but someone who does not have his "own will" is very possible that he/she has no sense of loyalty deep down...

@Amplify we only seen one person have that ability, the FMC. It wasn't mentioned that anyone else could do it, not even the MC. I'll give you maybe amazing mages can do it, but letting them visit and getting used to people in disguise in a small village would be beneficially for them. Also in case they go outside (like in Ch3) without the MC knowing.

@Solipsist Its too hard for authors to make everyone else decent with their job in isekai stories.
They wouldn't need OP MC to settle all the problem then.
