It is also his fault for adopting those kids and keeping them in such a dangerous situation, by ignoring all warnings and not acting. But why should he face his enemies in the open? Sneak in, take the kids out and if anyone stands in the way slaughter him/her. Enlisted soldier or not, if you help taking children hostage, you have it coming. Also that noble+minister +general should mate unfortunate fates very soon, like being attacked by a beast, being smashed by a tree, having a heart attack of old age after slipping the wrong beverage. Everything in the course of 2 months. If they can abuse their power so can MC. If MC doesn't his friends are the next ones to feel it.

@Kaarme yes, MC is too dumb... he should have taken the credit so people know who saved them and he should be less merciful. He can't avoid making enemies anyways... yet he doesn't kill people to avoid making people enemies...
