The fighting scenes on this are great. Its hard to find a medieval manga with magic where the MC doesnt conveniently use all elements, i find limiting the powers of a character always a good thing. Seems like the MC can only throw stuff for now, i hope there wont be bullshit like "he threw a boulder that weights 50 tons and destroyed the entire city".

Logic is really flawed honestly sometimes in such manga.
Sure, dude is blinded by revenge, but if your whole army was defeated by beast, and that beast was defeat by few people.
Why do you think fort will deal with at least one of those people.
