Fairly certain the side couple are pretty much dating, while the main couple are still doing the usual manga mating dance, which can take several years to complete, at worst.

Seriously, though. Chapter 1 ends with a drunk Igarashi asking if she can't be Takeda's wife instead, after Takeda said that, if he ever got married and had children, he'd like to have a daughter like Igarashi, and chapter 4 ends with her being annoyed because she thought he was going to go eat with some other girls.
