Uh, now that you mention it, her parents have never been mentioned in the story as far as I recall. I hope it's nothing sad but the way Grandpa acts all protective towards her makes me think they are not around.

@udomsa33 Nothing has been said about her parents, but it has been stated that Grandfather raised her. Given that they are at the Grandmother's grave and not either of her parents, there's a chance that they are still alive. Heck, they could both be super professionals that just spent all their time working and zero time with their kid. Who knows.
