Re-read the last chapter. The only thing that stopped Nanako and Koto from kissing was Nanako's Dad interrupting them before the kiss happened. Koto may not be a lesbian but she has shown signs of being bisexual. Also it didn't seem that Nanako was resisting the idea of kissing Koto all that much.

That last chapter served no purpose other than forced yuri fanservice. Which is doubly pointless seeing as the story does have a potential yuri side-ship, unless the author is going to cop out and only have those two "just be friends".

Be honest, if Koto was a guy, you wouldn't be using the "Don't think too much about it." argument.
