I think "juice" tends to be a general term for a beverage. I'm not sure if it's the literal translation, but it pops up all the time in a bunch of different anime and manga so I think it is.

Never seen it used like that, tbh. I only know it's used for "energy/fuel" sometimes (it also seems to be a slang for alcoholic drinks in US, though i haven't seen it being used this way either).
