I know it's not going to drag on that long, but it would be funny if this manga really did end up with 1800 chapters (one in-universe day per chapter),
which is actually not altogether unfeasible if the author switched to a one page per chapter format, though the serious tone and development needed aren't quite suited for that.

Right up my alley. My only gripe is you never know starting reading how they will turn out at the end, too many authors chicken out(eromanga excluded), and you'll only find out after following a particular manga perhaps for years. I wish more mangas in this genre be like Yuzumori-san or Kodomo no Jikan...

rather than worried about the man doing something to the girl, .. listening to her story, seeing her scar and how she cried at the end really worried me, like "holy shit what is happening with this girl and why me? and how the hell can I be of a help?"
