I'm always a little amazed at the creativity some people can come up with. How come the horror manga writers can write stuff that's so new and fresh but the isekai and romance writers can't?
Would ghosts spawn if they're made of the soot that won't come off? Also I thought the living dolls just cleaned up the entire house so how could the soot pile up?
@LysandersTreason To be fair, they're different demographics. Horror is more suited for seinen, so it must be creative or else it won't be good. Shounen on the other hand can fly while being much more experimental so I think that's why we sometimes get masterpieces like Slime Tensei and trashes like In Another World with My Smartphone.
@LysandersTreason well, isekai and romance has extremely big amount of people trying it, so you hardly can find anything good, when everything is buried under the pile of trash, but there still some good ones, like "drifters", the father of isekai "drifting classroom", "Grimgar of fantasy and ash", "Youjo senki", "RE:Zero" (but novel version as anime had stupid ending), "Now and Then, Here and There", "the tale of demons and gods", "shinju no nectar" (as long as you don't mind authors obsession with boobs sucking), "Game obu Familia – Family Senki" (looks promising), "Trinity wonder"
