Shadows House - Vol. 5 Ch. 52 - The Four Starbearer Pairs

Wow a translator who actually cares how English grammar works and whether it sounds good or not

This is such a rarity and I'm really grateful for this

@Ranzo you can't imagine how happy this made me feel. Thank you for your comment
Also 2nd revision is up including updated name for Oliver/Ollie. Thank you everyone for your feedback (and many thanks to the typesetter as well)

@HxHexa You are right, the previous groups weren't very consistent with the third person thing. However an important thing to note is that Kate started referring to herself in the first person in her internal monologues (わたし, with no kanji) near the end of chapter 24, which drives in the point that she's different from other Shadows.

Thanks for translating. Thank you for your hard working. Thank for spending time to make this chapter better.

@HxHexa

Hey, thanks for the reply.

I agree the changes are probs better for both reader and translator. I'd just like to ask that if a shadow stops refering themselves in third person you add a note somewhere pointing that out.

I'm not that smart and I think I would miss that even if the 3rd person was kept. I only noticed after re-reading a few times and comparing the raw in an attempt to learn some japanese.

Keep up the good work :)

@Freaks76 @Azhotype

If there are any instances where such a thing might be lost in translation I definitely would point in out in TL notes, so don't worry about it. Or rather, do worry about it and let me know when such a thing comes up in the case that I do miss them.

thanks for the translation note- I wonder if it was the intention of the author. it gives the shadows a more estranged identity when they interact with other shadows which is quite an exquisite atmosphere

@nyaasar

it was annonced not so long ago

so far we only have a visual teaser

Thank you for the TL note! I had been confused by it for a long time...
I think the subject choice might be influenced by their "faces" honest thought at that moment since the shadows' ideas are proved to be more easier to control when their faces are having "strong" feelings.
Kate is another case though...

Hmm I'm wondering maybe Christopher was the ex-leader of starbearers along with Edward and another two adults cause usually there are 4 members in one group. Now Christopher is gone, Edward takes the position
